Council to engage with Nausori stakeholders
November 26, 2018
In its efforts to boost consumer confidence and protection, the Consumer Council of Fiji will engage with key stakeholders during a workshop in Nausori this week.
Themed “Building Consumer Solidarity in Makoi, Nakasi and Nausori”, the workshop will enable the Council to discuss emerging and ongoing issues affecting consumers in the Suva-Nausori corridor.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday 28th November, 2018 from 9am to 1pm at the Vunimono Hall, Nausori. The workshop is similar to the ones organized by the Council in Labasa and Lautoka in September this year.
During the workshop, the Council will highlight issues dealing with advertisements and promotions, issues to do with food and drinks from supermarkets and restaurants as well as debt management and consumer advisory services offered by the Council.
With the festive season upon us, the Council will use the workshop as a platform to implore traders to uphold best trading practices and conduct their businesses in an honest and fair manner at all times.
Stakeholders will also be educated on the current market trends and the importance of addressing consumer grievances and providing timely redress.
Representatives from financial institutions, traders, service providers and other consumer stakeholders are expected to be part of the workshop.
