The Consumer Council of Fiji’s fundamental aim is to promote and safeguard the interests and welfare of consumers stipulated under the Consumer Council of Fiji Act Cap 235. The Council’s Labasa office has a vacancy for the above position.

 The successful applicant will: Ensure that the Regional Office functions efficiently and effectively, and at all times meets and contributes to the Council’s overall objectives; Co-ordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the regional office; Co-ordinate and undertake all consumer education awareness activities, research and policy work, mediation work of the Council covering the Northern Division; Supervise and manage the regional office and its staff. A Degree in education, economics, business studies, social science or equivalent is required. At least 5 years of work experience in management or leading a small team; Experience in handling disputes; Good understanding of consumer issues and laws; Experience of public awareness-raising and media-related activities; Proven ability to network and establish collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders; Experience in organizing training workshops and events; Excellent communication and writing skills in English and presentation skills; articulate and persuasive; A commitment to consumer issues and excellent IT skills is essential.

 Salary:  $26,576 - $38,727. The contract will be for 3 years subject to renewal based on consistent good performance.
