CEO of Consumer Council Resigns

The Chair of Consumer Council of Fiji Mr. Raman Dahia today announced that the Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Council of Fiji Mrs. Premila Kumar has resigned from her position.

The Board has accepted her resignation with deep regret noting her dedicated service to the organisation for close to 12 years, over which period she has lifted the image and visibility of the Council to a very high level through her able and dynamic leadership.

The Board appreciates and acknowledges the immense contribution she has made in lifting the profile of the Council and indeed the confidence of all consumers who are now more assertive and knowledgeable about their consumer rights and responsibilities.

She has many successes to her credit as CEO and one among the many, is that she has worked with the line Ministry in ensuring a new office premises, moving just few weeks ago, and decent budget from the Government to serve the Fijian consumers.

The Board wishes her the very best in her future endeavors.
