BSP customers to check their transactions after ATM outage

The Consumer Council of Fiji is encouraging all Bank of South Pacific (BSP) customers to check their transactions carried out on Wednesday 8 November, 2017.

The Council is aware that all BSP Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) were down for quite some time on Wednesday. Complaints and concerns have been received from customers who have noticed that despite having their transactions declined, money was still deducted from their accounts.

Clarifications have been sought from BSP regarding this matter. According to the Bank, they have started to reverse the transactions for those customers who have had their monies deducted due to the system outage.

Consumers who still have not had their monies refunded are advised to contact BSP’s Customer Care Centre on 321 4300 or the Council’s National Consumer Helpline on toll free number 155.

The Council urges Bank of South Pacific to assist the consumers in ensuring that their transactions are reversed in a timely manner.
