In light of the recent strike by the employees of Air Terminal Services (ATS), the Consumer Council of Fiji is requesting consumers flying out of Fiji to be better prepared to make their journey more comfortable.

ATS provides valuable service to most airlines landing and departing from Fiji which includes check-in services, baggage handling, in-flight catering services and other ground related services which may be disrupted.

Consumers are being warned for long delays at the airport including disturbance to the normal in-flight catering services. While the airlines are trying their level best to source alternative catering for their passengers, the Council is advising consumers to have a meal prior to boarding and also take refreshments on-board.

Consumers are also advised that the airlines are trying their best to provide service despite ATS staff going on strike.
